When I set PreSonus as Master and Apollo as slave, though the Apollo was reading mic signal, it was not read in ProTools. I set Digital Input in the UAD Console to ADAT and I see the additional 8 ADAT channels in the Console, but not in ProTools. I made the Clock Source on the PreSonus SPDIF, but it still blinks red when I do that, only stays blue once it's Master. I've read that I have to make one master and one slave, and that apparently it's not an option for Apollo to be master? I have PreSonus connected to Apollo through SPDIF out, coax cable to a converter box, and that optical into the optical in on the Apollo. I would like to be able to connect my Firestudio to the Apollo so that I can track drums and others with the combined 10 inputs. I know many other people have commented with similar issues with various types of audio I/F's using Firewire.Hello, I bought a Twin at the end of last year so I could be mobile/have better preamps. If I plug in the mains adapter that came with the I/F as well as the FW cable, this does not happen. This is my main concern as the high pitched noise is very annoying and off putting.Īlso if I am using the firewire cable to power my audio I/F and the iMac looses sync with it (which seems to be happening quite regularly after a period of inactivity), a low level oscillating squealing noise can be heard from the iMac (it sounds like a digital noise that sounds like a siren or alarm). This happens both when all inputs and outputs to the audio I/F are disconnected and when they are connected. When I connect the audio interface (using a FW800 to FW400 cable) a continuous high pitched noise is heard from the iMac and this disapears when the audio I/F is disconnected. I have a late 2009 iMac (11,1) running OS X 10.6.8 and a Presonus Firestudio Mobile audio interface.
